Calvin: The change in the eye expression when you were a beast was very well done.
Seung Gi: Oh, it was due to the contact lens.
Calvin: Whether it's the contact lens, nails, the blood on the body or the make-up, acting skills are still required to bring out the beastly expression.
Seung Gi: That's true.
Calvin: Then how did you practise? Did you practise using a mirror?
Seung Gi: I didn't practise facing a mirror.
Seung Gi: I'll record them down, using a camera to record them and practise.
Calvin: Who helped you to film it?
Seung Gi: My manager helped me to film it.
And Calvin asked Seung Gi to demonstrate Kang Chi's transformation.
Seung Gi: Before transformation, it's like this (the head is at a normal angle when looking at things) and after transformation, it's like this (the head is lowered at a 45 degrees angle). That's the best angle during my own recording.
When Seung Gi did the demonstration, he even produced some sounds, these sounds appeared during his transformations.
Calvin: During transformation, do you need to use such a voice?
Seung Gi: Yes, originally this sound was to be brought in from overseas. However, there were some problems and it led to me producing such a sound.
Calvin: So you had to always produce this sound?
Seung Gi: Yes.
Calvin: Sounds like there's a mouthful of phlegm stuck inside.
Finally, we took a look at the sparkling kiss scenes. When these were played, gasps of admiration could be heard from time to time, woo…woo…
Calvin: You've kissed a lot didn't you? That cheek kiss, you even kissed thrice. If there was 1 NG (Can't remember clearly whether the NG was once or twice already. I remember that it was mentioned as 1 NG, but if there's only once, then why were there 9 times?, kissed 9 times… (Sorry, I'm really not sure how many times he kissed during the cheek kiss scene..hehehe…I didn't really pay much attention to kiss scenes actually :D)
Calvin: And the one at the end, you kissed so long didn't you?
Seung Gi: Was it long? Aren't the usual kiss scenes like this?
Calvin: Not really. The time you took was very long.
Seung Gi: Oh, because usually in dramas, from about the 4th to 6th episode, there'll be kiss scenes and for us, we only had them at the later part. Hence, that kiss needed to be a little more intense.
Calvin: How many kiss scenes were there?
Seung Gi: *stumped for a little while*
Seung Gi: Thrice.
Calvin: Will you purposely NG during kiss scenes?
Seung Gi: No, I won't.
Seung Gi: Kiss scenes can't be practised.
Calvin: They were okay in 1 take?
Seung Gi: Yes, they were okay in 1 take.
Calvin: Actually, they practised in private 16 times.
Seung Gi: No no no
Calvin: Then how were your kiss scenes shot?
Seung Gi: Before shooting, we would communicate, we practised but we didn't kiss for real. But Suzy-ssi was rather special, she asked me how I planned to kiss, where I would kiss her…
Calvin: How do you achieve beautifully shot kiss scenes?
Seung Gi: I believe that the focus should be on the female lead.
Calvin: How would you kiss her?
Seung Gi: You can't move your head.
And hence, these 2 guys started to demonstrate on the spot…
Next, Seung Gi was asked on the type of girl he likes.
Calvin: I've got to ask our Seung Gi on the type of girl he likes.
Seung Gi: *thinks for a little while* As long as I like what I see.
Calvin: For looks, do you have any specific requirement? For example, long or short hair, big eyes, cherry lips (referring to lips which are small, exquisite and rosy) (As Calvin was saying this, he was posing 'cherry lips' as well)
Seung Gi: There isn't any specific requirement, whether she's cute, sexy or pretty, as long as I think that I like what I see, that means I like her.
Calvin: That means the feeling is very important.
Seung Gi: That's right, the feeling is very important.
Seung Gi: In the past, they were based on my feelings. If the feeling was right, it would be okay. Now besides feeling, 2 of us would need try getting along first then we would know whether we are compatible.
Calvin: Are foreign girls okay?
Seung Gi: Yes it's okay. I've got a very good friend, his other half isn't from Korea.
